Bush IAH ITT / Subway Replacement

Bush IAH ITT / Subway Replacement
Houston Airport System Bush IAH (Houston, Texas)
Client: Houston Airport System Bush IAH | JACOBS (Prime)
Project Name: IAH ITT / Subway Replacement Project
Project Duration: 2020 to present
Services: BIM, Site Assessments, Digital Measurements, Costs Validation
Project Description:
Because of Bradlink’s team knowledge of Bush IAH, JACOBS engaged Bradlink to conduct detailed site assessments to gather data of existing conditions of mechanical, lighting, and other key infrastructure. Key staff took measurements using laser scanners and incorporated this data to begin building backgrounds and base BIM models.
The below-ground Subway train, people mover built by the Walt Disney Company outside of a Disney property, provides passengers and Airport staff free, efficient transportation between terminals and the Marriott Hotel while outside security. The Subway operates in a circular fashion and departs every three minutes from the Subway stations in Terminals A, B, C, D/E, and the Airport Marriott.
The existing Subway is well beyond design service life, and many components of the system are obsolete and no longer commercially available.
